While growing up in the Mojave Desert, Leah explored many art forms while searching for a means of creatively expressing herself. Her father, an artist himself, taught her how to draw. That interest eventually developed strongly into the three dimensional realm of sculpture.
Follwing the loss of her father when she was 16, expressing herself through art became increasingly significant. For her, it was a means to find the joy in life and solace from sorrow. Art, and sculpture in particular, developed into a ritualistic way of processing feelings and marking events of grief and celebration.
Leah now lives and works in the Los Angeles area.
